Our Luv Memories....
18th June 2013
Woah.. Has been a couple of years since i last write in this blog..
Let's have a little update!
I'm happily married on 31st October 2011, very wonderful and successful wedding with sweet surprises from my hubby..
I'm a mother of a little girl name Kayla, she's born on 13th Nov 2012.
She's a healthy, happy, cheeky and lovely little girl and I'm so bless to have her and I'm so so so much in love with her..
We're still staying in Ubi but with a few addition house members.. my FIL, helper and our new addition to the family. Not forgetting my 2 naughty girls (mango & misha) are still with me.. as usual Misha is the mischievous dog, but I still love her very much and feeling guilty not spending quality time with them.
Been busy with many things.. a new helper as our old helper "Seng" request to go back for studies. The new helper still under observation on her working attitude and how well she can handle Kayla and the 2 dogs.
Life is still the same in STM, not much changes.. been here for 3yrs plus and feeling too comfortable to move on.. Living expenses is shooting up with many mouth in the house we need to feed..
Oh dear, I hope we have luck to strike lottery or get better luck with finances.
For my next post, I'll try to update some pics..
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my friends... May you have a lovely Christmas with your loves one =)
Preparation for our BIG day gonna kick in soon!
Getting all excited with the upcoming changes and of cos the event on 26 December... walking down the aisle hand in hand and the beginning of our life together..
I'm counting down! 9 more days towards our ROM on 26 December 2010.
Well, it's kinda rush and pack for me with renovation and wedding stuff running concurrently.
I'm hoping to be a pleasant one but at times things doesn't seems to flow the way u wanna it to be or probably a smooth one :(
Today is my first post at our new house @
Ubi. Arranging for the appliances, air-con and bedding to delivery to our house and very upset with the workmanship of the house which I did not mention in the earlier post. I feel so disgusted with the outcome of the workmanship and I believe my expectation is reasonable and not asking for the ridiculous!
They rejected some of our request which make dear pissed off
and they seems to address our concern at all.
- Request to re-paint 2 bedroom and top-up but was rejected. Reason being, will affect the handover date.
- Request to custom-made a small alter table but was rejected too. (even we willing to pay)
- Request for a small ledge at the side of the balcony (agree to it but see nothing at all)
- Bedroom doors delivery are not what we saw in the catalog. (pending to revert to us)
The handover has been delay from end Nov to 1st week of Dec and dear have told them to handover on the 19 Dec. Blogging and arrive at our new house since 11am, I have yet to see any of the workers coming to rush the work and all in front of me is the delivery and schedule that I made earlier.
Schedule for 17 December 2010- Delivery of appliances from Havey Norman -- DONE
- Delivery of MBR mattress from Simmons -- DONE
- Installation of air-con units -- DONE
I'm ultimately
disappointed and upset with
KEITHWORKS!. Why did I get to meet such contractor or engage him in the 1st place. I should have chose to engage Gillian instead. It's such a agony where my renovation period is close to 3months and yet it's still not close to completion yet!
Bed frame is not ready and I have to place my mattress on the floor! Gosh.. I have spoke to Keith previously before arranging for the delivery and he say the
bed frame will be up by today!
Again they're so screw up! They sucks big time!
They can't seems to delivery what they promise, the so called touch-up or plastering the worst job I have ever seen! Moreover, with the dateline give by dear I have yet to see any of his worker rushing to complete our project. Basically, they lack of the urgency and they have very bad time management! I'm trying to calm myself down and leave all the conversation to dear. Basically, I can't accept the workmanship and I hate that this is taking too long. It's so close to Xmas now, our ROM and also my birthday. All my wish and hope to held a celebration at our new house is highly not possible. I'm extremely
disappointed and upset with the progress and status of our house =/

Finally food tasting day arrive!
We meet up with Jane & Gavin at 1827 Thai Restaurant for food tasting complimentary from The Art House to try at least 75% of the food in our menu for our solemnisation event on 26 December. The moment we enter the restaurant, gives us a very grand, classy and intimate feeling as the crowd is minimal and we have a very nice cozy corner for the food tasting. We tried almost all the dishes except for the Green Tea Tiramisu with Japanese Red Bean served in Shot Glass and the food is exceptionally good except for the green salad which we top up the different and change to the Assorted Sushi Platter.
So... let the photo does it's magic to bring you around 1827 Thai Restaurant @ The Old Parliament House..

Updates on 10 December 2010.
It's a extremely busy schedule for us today as I have schedule for quite a number of stuff to be done today. This morning chemical wash will kick in and before heading to our new house we head to
Kallang Macdonald to have big breakfast!
We arrive the house at close to 11am and to our surprise the worker from Besglas is here to install the remaining WIW already and chemical wash is in progress.
- Finish the remaining installation of the WIW by Besglas
- The touch-up work from Yon Tat on our main door
- Delivery of Ikea items (our study table)
- Delivery of our dining table (Hommage)
- Site visit by PUB personnel & Town council plumber to rectify the water pressure issue we encounter
Shortly, the
Ikea logistics workers is here for the installation of our study table. We did a
mis-calculation as the air-con piping is at the left corner hence there's a a between the walls & the table. We will be getting in some shelves and hopefully it's not so obvious and the end result isn't that bad.

Thereafter, we head for our lunch and I called up Charles from Hommage to arrange to deliver the dining table earlier than the schedule time slot. I highly recommend Hommage for their sales & after sales service and Charles for his extremely good and efficient service.

Next, the glass top to be secure on top of the stand

In the midst of the installation, the worker from Yon Tat was here to assist on the touch up of the door. Justin (Director) provide hassle free door installation and excellent service. Even after receiving our full payment, he made an effort to send his worker to check on the outstanding issue we're facing with the laminates. Initially the uncle who did the installation of the main door make a wrong measure and remove excessive wood while driling for the lockset. To rectify this issue, he fill up the gap with another small piece of wood and remove the laminates on the side and leave a bad laminating job after everything is done. Have inform Justin about this and no question ask, he send his worker down to touch up within the next free days. I'm happy with both the touch up and service received from Yon Tat. Unexpectedly, I received a call from Justin later in the evening to check on the touch up work. I'm not expectating a call from him but he actually did make the effort to do this and follow up on the issue. I'm extremely happy with the service rendered and highly recommend him to all my friends who're looking for main door. Go for YON TAT for your DOORS!!!
Shortly, the PUB personnel & Town Council Plumber came to check on the water pressure issue as our contractor is unable to check and refer us directly to
HDB/PUB w/o even doing the 1st round of check. Dissappointed & pissed I decided to contact the relevant department for assistance on the 8 December and here they are! After the check, there seems to be a problem with the water meter as it seems to be choked. Therefore the PUB officer will be getting the relevant personnel on 13 Dec(Mon) to replace a new meter for us. Hopefully the water pressure will be better.
the crowd outside my house
After everything is settle, we head back home to change and prepare for our food tasting at The Arts House.... to be continue...
